As a result of an industrial accident, I suffered a compression fracture in my spine. This subsequently led to me having problem with my spinal chord which required me to undergo spinal surgery. Given Dr Chew’s vast experiences and skills, I must say he is undoubtedly one of the TOP orthopaedics (knee specialist) in Asia, if not globally. This is the same feedback I gathered from patients who had received treatment from him. Prior to seeing him 10 years ago, I consulted 2 other knee surgeons who insisted I do a knee cap replacement surgery. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr Chew for a third opinion. Eventually I ended up a mere key-hole surgery and my knee is working fine till today. On top of this, Dr Chew’s Nurses also exhibit strong level of professionalism and post surgery follow ups were prompt and thoughtful. Certainly 2 thumbs up!

As assured by Dr Chew, I returned to my golf games six months later in January 2020 and returned to intense physical training and boxing a year later in July 2020. Had a shoulder arthroscopy done with this clinic by Dr Jeffrey Chew. 1 month in and it’s recovering well, no more pain. He was very patient and detailed during the whole consultation process, and even provided reading materials to educate me on my shoulder problems, my available options and recovery processes. If I ever have an orthopaedic problem, there’s only 1 place that I will ever go to for help. I’ve been to the Centre for Orthopaedics over 2 different time periods; first, when I dislocated my right shoulder; and then my left shoulder almost a decade later. Both experiences left me feeling (nothing short of) eternally grateful.Dr. Jeff and his team of amazing surgeons combine ruthless efficiency, and adaptive bedside manner, to ensure that their patients get the right care, and treatment; so that you’re literally back to doing the things you love, within a more than realistic time frame.From your first visit till (if necessary) the moment you step out of hospital, everything runs like clockwork: Examination, MRI, scheduling surgery (again, if necessary), pre-admission, surgery, post operative care, and follow-ups - bang, bang, bang, everything just works!That does not mean that they treat their patients like a meat processing factory though. Dr. Jeff just made everything look and feel so easy. My left shoulder injury was worse than the right, and while he never made light of the condition, he did explain everything in a light-hearted manner, which put me at supreme ease.When it came to the surgery, I felt like I was at a rock concert. I had two superstar surgeons (Dr. Jeff and Dr. Yega) perform the surgery; and a fantastic anaesthetist (regretfully, I’ve forgotten his name), who thoroughly checked my details, and then said, “Let’s rock & roll!” All I had to do was lay back; feel the cold sensation of the anaesthesia surge through my hand; and the next thing I knew, I was in post-op recovery.Over the next couple of days in hospital, Dr. Jeff would check in on me both in person, and via text on his personal no.! That was the first, and only time (so far) that I’ve ever had such direct access to my doctor! He said that if I was in any pain, and if I needed anything, to let him know straightaway!After the hospital stay, I went back for a couple of follow ups where he took me through videos of the surgery, and that was pretty much it; we were done. I went for physiotherapy (which is always more painful than the surgery itself!), and I have an open appointment to consult him , if ever necessary. But he still drops me a text once in a while to check in on me!To everyone at CFO, from the doctors’ assistants to the ladies at the reception desk... Thank You!

I sought a second opinion with Dr Jeffrey Chew at this clinic for a knee injury caused by long distance running. His prognosis was clear and he took me through a presentation of procedural videos and animations which made the condition a lot easier to understand. More importantly, as an avid cyclist himself, I felt he was able to empathise with my condition and presented me with treatment options which best suited my active lifestyle. I underwent some procedures with Dr Chew including aspiration and injections at the joint. It was painless and the procedure was throughly explained every step of the way. The nurses and staff at the clinic was professional and very helpful. I'd highly recommend Dr Chew for any sports related injuries.
